SCHNELL has been on the market for more than 20 years and is one of the largest German manufacturers of high-efficiency CHP units designed primarily for biogas stations. SCHNELL has so far built more than 3,500 CHP units installed in a number of countries around the world. The company has almost 300 employees and a very strong maintenance base on the German market.
Josef Jeleèek, the CEO of TEDOM, explained the reasons for the acquisition: “SCHNELL is one of the strongest brands for biogas CHP units. It uses a unique technology, so-called dual motors. These are compression-ignition engines with a flammable dose of liquid fuel, characterized by high efficiency. SCHNELL also has an extensive maintenance network covering all of Germany. In this acquisition, we see an opportunity to expand our product line, but especially to promote our products in Germany, which is in line with our global strategy.”
